Evolving Out Loud: 2-Day seminar with Kyle Cease

I recently attended Kyle Cease’s 2-Day ‘Evolving Out Loud’ seminar at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA. I’ve never had so much fun sitting in a chair for 18 hours! Evolving Out Loud was an awesome blend of mind-expanding talk, comedy, individual and group exercises, Q & A and on-the-spot songwriting by talented musical guest Harold Payne.

As someone only vaguely familiar with Cease’s stand up, I had no idea what I was in for. I learned about the seminar while at the Longevity Now Conference 2016, when David Wolfe invited Cease to take the stage for 15 minutes. His health-related jokes, created on-the-fly, were so funny and insightful that I immediately signed up for Evolving Out Loud 2017.

“You are what you love, not what loves you.” – Kyle Cease

The first A-list comedian turned personal transformation speaker, Cease orchestrated a knockout 2-day event without any notes or planning. I often found myself on the edge of my seat, asking, “What will happen next?” Cease helped several audience volunteers experience major psychological and emotional breakthroughs. He created a relaxed, open atmosphere that encouraged real participation in the exercises, which ranged from meditations to 1-on-1 interactive experiences with fellow attendees.

I gained a lot of inspiration from this entertaining weekend and met some wonderful people. Unlike many other personal transformation coaches, Cease is really good at getting you to commit to improving yourself. I appreciated the final exercise, in which I pledged to sit/meditate for at least 30 minutes each morning for the next 21 days. If I fail to meet my commitment, I will give $1000 to charity. I’m also following up with his 21-day video series EVOLVE: The Complete Journey.

“You are the apple tree, not the apple!” – Kyle Cease

Check out the Evolving Out Loud website for upcoming offerings. Maybe I’ll see you at a future event. I’d totally go again.

Oh, and here are two of my favorite Kyle Cease videos. Really funny stuff 🙂
